Week 4: 2023 End of Year Campaign

Featuring: Alliance for Longevity Initiatives

WELCOME to our 2023 End of Year Campaign.

SRF has spent the past year diligently employing your generous contributions towards accelerating the development of therapies to prevent, treat, and cure the diseases of aging. Just this year we’ve spoken at longevity conferences, highlighted our work with US policy makers and global leaders in health, submitted patents and publications on our research, educated dozens of students, supported translational therapies in their journey to market, and so much more.

There is still much work to be done

This End of Year Campaign focuses on SRF and the relationships we have built over the last couple years. These collaborations grow the effectiveness of our community and industry, extending our reach and deepening our impact to target directly the diseases and disabilities of aging. Every week we highlight a new organization and the real-world impact they are making to turn our mission into reality.

Week FOUR:

About the Alliance for Longevity Initiatives

The Alliance for Longevity Initiatives was founded with the goal of creating social and political action around the issues of combating age-related chronic conditions and increasing our number of healthy, disease-free years.

A4LI is the first and only 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization founded with the goal of creating social and political action around the issues of combating age-related chronic conditions and increasing our number of healthy, disease-free years. A4LI works with healthcare leaders and experts in the geroscience and regenerative medicine fields to ensure the initiatives we pursue are the right steps to accomplish A4LI’s mission. Ultimately, we would like to see governments around the world prioritize keeping their citizens in excellent health for much longer.

Many Ways to Donate!

2023 was a year of many exciting collaborations for SENS Research Foundation and our partners. The coming year promises to be one of even more consequential alliances, sure to empower our mission with evermore resources. While SRF has been steadily growing since 2009, we’re committed to taking the next big step. As always, we are deeply appreciative of your being an important part of this journey. It is our donors and supporters that have always been the most important collaborators who have made this mission possible.

Partnering to challenge the diseases of aging together!

We are thrilled to announce our 2023 End of Year Campaign to support critical work to end age-related disease.

Our supporters know that since our founding we have continuously operated at the forefront of innovation in medical research. In the same spirit, we embrace exciting and innovative ways to fund our vital work.

Through this campaign, we’re going to be highlighting different partners, joined in our united mission to end the diseases of aging. Each, an organization that is part of the vital and growing community that you too are an important part of.

Check back for weekly videos with SRF researchers, partners, and other interesting content. Please join us in this campaign so that together we can partner to challenge the diseases of aging!

About the Phaedon Institute

The Phaedon Institute was envisioned by a group of distinguished scientists and entrepreneurs to promote a greater degree of synergy, efficient cooperation, and discussion among longevity industry stakeholders that could set rigorous standards and guidance to support the growing community of the emerging field of longevity sciences.

The Phaedon Institute is aimed to distill solid and sound science, support the leaders and talents, recognize the proper regulatory environment and investment opportunities, and transform the aging and longevity industry.

In addition, the institute recognizes a crucial, compelling need to promote diversity in the aging research workforce. Phaedon Institute is committed to fostering a diverse workforce in aging research, and to ensuring that people from all backgrounds can fully and productively participate in our field.

Watch the interview of Phaedon Institute’s CEO Marco Quarta by SRF’s CEO Lisa Fabiny-Kiser. Learn about Phaedon Institute’s origins, mission, events and future plans.

About SRF Education

SRF Education strives to create a well-trained generation of scientists who are familiar with, and invested in, regenerative medicine. It is the future scientists, doctors, and policy makers of this burgeoning new field who will create the paradigm shift in how academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory agencies look at treating the diseases of aging.

SRF Education offers programs for high school, college, graduate, and postgraduate students up to the PhD level who are interested in learning more about the SENS mission to prevent age-related diseases by treating the underlying molecular and cellular damage.

About Oxford Society of Ageing and Longevity

The Oxford Society of Ageing and Longevity has a two-pronged approach to support humanity in reaching this goal. Firstly, we want to educate the public about the biological process of ageing, how it eventually leads to diseases, and the enormous impact these diseases have on society. We particularly want to stress the fact that ageing is not an immutable part of life but can be controlled through various interventions.

The goal is to have the public support scientists and companies working on ageing, and to raise awareness amongst politicians and policymakers to enable them to take this field seriously, for example, by promoting research and supporting the adoption of rejuvenation therapies. Secondly, we intend to connect researchers, investors, and organisations involved in the ageing and longevity field to increase the pace of progress.

We also hope, through our activities, to inspire people who have previously not been involved in this field to become active champions of this worthwhile endeavour – whether it be as public proponents, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, politicians, policymakers, etc.

Together we can reach these goals by increasing not only our lifespan but our healthspan. Together we can bring an end to ageing.

Watch SRF’s Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Lilli Fishman presentation to the Oxford Society of Ageing and Longevity. Her talk, titled “Learning Longevity: Academic and Career Opportunities in Longevity Science” that provides an in-depth look into the evolving landscape of longevity research:
