What is SENS Research Foundation?
SENS Research Foundation (SRF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on transforming the way the world researches and treats age-related disease. SRF focuses on a damage repair paradigm for treating the diseases of aging, which it advances through scientific research, advocacy and education. SRF has been at the forefront of innovating therapeutics aimed at repairing the underlying molecular and cellular damage that occurs to our bodies as we age. Through our educational programs, we are able to help students, as well as the public at-large, understand the challenges we face with an aging population and the research needed to effectively treat and ultimately cure age-related diseases.
Education is an essential component of the SRF mission, allowing us to accelerate the pace of turning laboratory discoveries into real-world health benefits. Our goal is to train not only future scientists who will develop life-saving therapeutics but also the health care professionals and policy makers who will ensure those therapeutics are safely and efficiently brought to the patients suffering from age-related diseases.
