Anuj Kudva (SRF Research Center)
Anuj Kudva is currently a junior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering. During his first two years at UT-Austin, Anuj studied early T-cell differentiation from progenitor cells and examined differentiation of adipose derived stem cells into various layers of cartilage. Under the tutelage of Dr. Ehud Goldin at the SRF Research Center, Anuj studied the toxicity profile of an enzyme that could potentially prevent the buildup of a molecule which is believed to cause age-related macular degeneration. His summer internship project established parameters that will be used to measure the level of apoptosis produced by candidate enzyme treatment. After Anuj graduates in 2015, he plans to pursue and MD/PhD degree.
