Janko Nikolich-Zugich

Occupation: MD, PhD, Chair, Department of Immunobiology and Co-director, Center on Aging, University of Arizona
Biography: Formerly professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine, Dr Nikolich-Zugich is an internationally noted expert on the immune system and age-related disorders, and leads the Biology of Aging Research Program at the Center, which addresses aging and age-related diseases such as inflammation, osteoporosis, infectious diseases, diabetes, cancer, dementias and sarcopenia (muscle loss associated with aging).
