The story of the Research Center is one of motivation and dedication. We rented our initial laboratory space in early 2008, shortly before our discovery of two families of enzymes which degrade A2E, a key culprit in age-related macular degeneration. We have subsequently designed a drug delivery system for numerous enzymes which degrade 7-ketocholesterol, a molecule which plays a major role in atherosclerosis. One of our researchers successfully tested a new method of removing senescent T-lymphocytes in aged mice, paving the way for potential immune system rejuvenation therapies.
We have achieved these results despite a severely limited budget, because our team is committed to ensuring every dollar donated is well-spent, taking care to minimize equipment costs and consistently hiring people committed to the pursuit of our research goals. We intend to expand the personnel and capabilities of the Research Center in 2010, accelerating our efforts to produce results that contribute to the SENS mission. Because the Research Center is funded entirely by contributions to SENS Foundation, every donation enriches our efforts to end the diseases and disabilities of aging.

Thank you for supporting our work. Donations can be made through SENS Foundation's main donation page.
In addition to welcoming the generous donations of our supporters, the SENS Foundation Research Center has prepared a wish list for equipment they would like to improve the capabilities of the organization. Your assistance in helping us to acquire this equipment would be hugely beneficial to our mission. To view the current list of desired equipment, visit the Wish List project page.
