Internships, Coursework

The Academic Initiative's single largest project is the open online course that we are developing. We have determined the format that our videos in this course will take: they will display the image of a slide on-screen when that slide is most relevant. This way, every viewer will be able to see the right slides at the right time, instead of having to figure out precisely which slide the lecturer is discussing on their own. (This is the same format that SENS Foundation's videos from the SENS5 conference take.) We have already combed through each lecture and determined precisely when each slide ought to be displayed.

Though the major website overhaul that SENS Foundation is currently engaged in may disrupt our posting of a complete Moodle-based course, we still fully expect to have every video lecture edited, online, and accompanied by course materials in December. The final form that the course will take has not been fully determined, but we will be sure that people can view the content that we have created by that time.
