Grant Application
SRF Education grants are available solely to cover the costs of equipment and materials needed for the completion of a specific project being undertaken as part of the SRF Education program. Any equipment or other non-consumable materials purchased with grant monies remains the property of SENS Research Foundation and must be handed to SENS Research Foundation on completion of the project. Note that, as these funds are not to cover university overhead costs, you will need to receive a waiver from your university stating that standard overhead costs will not be deducted from the SRF Education grant that you may receive.
Our grants are usually for $2500, but that amount varies slightly depending on the nature of the project.
In order to be eligible for a grant the applicant must demonstrate that he or she has secured appropriate facilities and a faculty mentor.
In order for your application to be considered you will be required to upload the following documents: an up-to-date CV or résumé of the faculty mentor; a detailed project description; and a detailed budget projection for the project, clearly showing the items contributing to the grant amount.
You can find an example of a project description and budget projection in the "Sample SRF Education Student Grant Proposal" in our downloads section. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
