Grant Application

Academic Initiative grants are available solely to cover the costs of equipment and materials needed for the completion of a specific project being undertaken as part of the Academic Initiative. Any equipment or other non-consumable materials purchased with grant monies remains the property of SENS Foundation and must be handed to SENS Foundation on completion of the project.

Grants are usually for up to about $2500, and vary depending on the nature of the project. Grants for groups of students can reach around $5000.

In order to be eligible for a grant the applicant must:

  • be a Student Member of the Academic Initiative or be applying to become a Student Member prior to the payment of the grant,
  • demonstrate that he or she has secured appropriate facilities and a faculty mentor
